What is a bedstead?

The traditional definition is simply the frame or support for a mattress. With such a wide variety of beds now available, we categorise a Bedstead as a bed with an integral headboard or a headboard that forms part of the bed frame. 

You can choose from storage bedsteads with drawers for convenience or ottomans creating an extra wardrobe for those requiring additional storage. Modern upholstered bedsteads in a range of fabrics are very popular as are the more traditional metal or wooden bed frames.
